General Event Outline

Most Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure and Bikini Events follow the same basic Schedule. The first event of most competitions is the competitors meeting, the competitors meeting is usually mandatory and will help explain the flow of the show to all the competitors. They explain how the figure competitors should walk on stage, the mandatory poses they want from the bodybuilders and basic stage presence. They also usually explain the judging, all-in-all it's a run down on exactly what to expect during and from the show.
The next event is usually morning show/prejudging, prejudging usually consists of all the competitors in a class/division entering the stage together, then the judges direct them through a series of poses, and many times have different competitors step back and some step forward and are even rearranged to be compared better to different competitors. This is when the judges rank each competitor.
The final event is normally the night show/finals, the night show is all for the audience and is usually when the seats get filled. During the night show each competitor comes out on stage and performs his/her routine and medals and placings are announced. At the very end there is usually an overall competition and the overall winners many times earn a pro card.
*Note: This is a general outline and may vary for every competition.
